MICKEY HANDS-ON MOM
MICKEY Ferriols used to be so visible on TV hosting shows like MTB and acting in soaps like Hiram and Maid In Heaven.
But after she got pregnant and gave birth to her and Archie Alemania’s son, the five-month-old Brent Marcus, she had to rest for a while.
Now, she’s back hosting the only Classified Ads-Magazine Show on TV, Ano Bang Hanap Mo?
So how is it to be a mom?
“Super-sarap!” she says. “I’m a hands-on mom. We have a yaya, but I still do everything for him. Being a mom makes me feel so fulfilled as a woman.”
How is her relationship with Archie?
“We’re doing very well, thank you.”
Any plans to tie the knot soon?
“Pinag-iipunan pa namin. Most probably, next year. We don’t want a civil marriage lang kasi. We want a real church wedding. I never thought I’d enjoy being a wife. Kasi, dati, wala akong alam sa bahay. But now, I’ve even learned to cook, kasi masarap kumain si Archie and I now cook all his favorite dishes like pochero, tinola and sinigang.”
Has her mom finally accepted Archie?
“Oh yes, okey na sila. Tanggap na siya ng mom ko, kasi she saw that Archie is a responsible father and he’s also very good to me. After work, uwi agad ‘yun sa bahay to help me with the baby. He’s now doing two TV shows, Wazzup Wazzup and CloseUp to Fame, and he’s also in the horror movie being shot by Kristine Hermosa. Ako naman, I really missed hosting, so I’m glad they got me to co-host Ano Bang Hanap Mo? with comedian Hyubs and former cager Maoi Roca.”
How did she get into the show?
“The show’s major sponsor, William Lim, earlier got me as the endorser of their U Need Bihon. He recommended me to the show’s director, Earl Ignacio, who’s a friend of mine. Nakasama ko na siya noon sa Tropang Trumpo on ABC 5, along with Hyubs and Maoi. So it’s really a reunion for us.”

Getting married
ASAP 06 mainstay Archie Alemania says he and his love Mickey Ferriols have talked about getting married and this would probably happen next year. “I am still saving up for a church wedding. It happens only once and I want it to be something special,” says Archie who turned 28 last March 6.
While he and Mickey can get married in civil rites, Archie wants no less than a church wedding. “You only get married once so I really want to prepare for it,” says the mainstay of Wazzup Wazzup on Studio 23 where he does broadcast news in a zany manner.
Archie earned the tag as Pambansang Reklamador in the gag show Wazzup Wazzup on Studio 23. He also hosts Digital Tour also aired on the same channel. He used to be a member of the all-male dance group Big Men but when he decided to try his luck as a solo performer, he landed roles in commercials like Chippy, San Miguel and Globe.
The last show he was in on ABS-CBN was Star Dance and Archie’s wish is to be offered a regular show on ABS-CBN’s flagship channel. Right now, he’s shooting a horror movie produced by Star Cinema titled Huwag Kang Lilingon in which he plays an important role opposite Kristine Hermosa. The movie also stars Diether Ocampo and Baron Geisler.
