ABS-CBN told Inquirer Entertainment on Monday that the new shows were "to be aired in the first quarter of 2005."
Industry sources said De las Alas and Ignacio would be cast in the same show, and Manzano would have his own.
The network did not mention plans for the other "MTB" hosts-Mickey Ferriols, Archie Alemania, Melissa Ricks and Joross Gamboa.
In a phone interview last Monday, Ignacio told the Inquirer Entertainment that he was "still confused" about his status at ABS-CBN. His contract with the network expires this month.
"I have yet to hear from my bosses about the renewal of my contract," Ignacio said. "I've heard about plans for new shows, but we have not met to discuss those."
He wondered: "Why am I always the last to know? If ABS-CBN really had plans for me, I'm sure they would talk with me."
Team-up with Lucky
According to sources, De las Alas will have a new gag show with Ignacio and comedian Vhong Navarro, while Manzano will host an evening musical/talk show with his son, MYX video jock Luis.
One source said De las Alas and Ignacio would have another "spoof show" to air daily, after Willie Revillame's new noontime variety show, "Wowowee." On the other hand, the source added, the Manzanos' talk show would be similar to the 1990s' "Not so Late Night with Edu."
The senior Manzano, chair of the Optical Media Board, is seen regularly on the sitcom "OK, Fine, Whatever," with Aga Muhlach and Bayani Agbayani.
Melissa Ricks, from "Star Circle Quest," will reportedly appear in the TV version of Carlo Caparas' "Panday" as Jericho Rosales' leading lady. Rosales is taking on the role popularized in the 1970s by the late action king Fernando Poe Jr.
Ricks and Gamboa are part of the weekly youth-oriented show "SCQ Reloaded."
The source said Gamboa would join the cast of a drama tele-serye with Roxanne Guinoo, also from "SCQ," as his love interest.
Gamboa is currently seen on the musical-game-variety "Most Requested Show," with Roderick Paulate, Amy Perez and Marvin Agustin.
What about Mickey?
AJ Dee, Ahron Villena, Je Sison and Mike Cortez, collectively known as MTB's "TV Idols," are now cast members of "Most Requested Show."
Dee also hosts a segment with Ann Curtis and Chocolate every Sunday on the show biz talk show "The Buzz."
The sources said the network had not thought up a project for Ferriols. Meanwhile, Ferriols' boyfriend, Archie Alemania, is seen on "Star Dance" with Agustin and Vanessa del Bianco, and on Studio 23's "Wazzup! Wazzup!""MTB Ang Saya Saya" used to be called "Magandang Tanghali Bayan," with Paulate, Perez, Revillame, Randy Santiago and John Estrada as hosts.
In 2003, the program reinvented itself as "Masayang Tanghali Bayan" in a bid to topple GMA 7's "Eat... Bulaga!" Paulate, Perez, Santiago and Estrada were dropped from the lineup of hosts.
In February 2004, Ignacio, De las Alas and Manzano came on board.
